What is private label spice manufacturing?
Private label spice manufacturing means a manufacturer produces spices or seasonings that another company sells under its own brand. The brand owner decides the products, recipe, specification and packaging. The manufacturer sources the raw spices, cleans, grinds and blends them, then packs and labels the finished product ready for sale.
Private label vs white label spices: which do you need?
Both put your brand on the pack. The difference is whose recipe you use and how fast you can launch.
| White label | Private label (custom) | |
|---|---|---|
| Recipe | Our existing products and blends | Developed for you, or matched to your current product |
| Time to market | Fastest: no development stage | Longer: includes formulation and sample approval |
| Product uniqueness | Same base product other brands can buy | Unique flavour and specification for your brand |
| Order size | Usually lower starting volumes | Depends on blend complexity and batch size |
| Best for | New brands, distributors and retailers testing a range | Established brands, snack makers and food manufacturers |

Private label spice manufacturing FAQs
What is the difference between private label and white label spices?
White label spices are existing products from a manufacturer’s range, packed under your brand. Private label usually means the product is made to your own recipe or specification. White label is faster to launch, while private label gives you a unique product.
Can you match the spice blend or seasoning I already sell?
Yes. Send us your recipe or a sample of your current product. We develop a close match and refine it with you through sample rounds until you approve it.
Who owns the recipe in a private label agreement?
A recipe you supply stays yours. For recipes we develop for you, ownership is agreed in writing before development starts, and we are happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
What is the minimum order quantity for private label spices?
Minimums depend on the product, whether it is a standard item or a custom blend, and the pack format. Bulk packs usually allow lower starting volumes than printed retail packs. Share your products and pack sizes and we will confirm the minimum in your quote.
Do you export private label spices outside India?
Yes. We supply brands, importers and distributors worldwide with export documentation, and hold stock in our UK warehouse for faster UK delivery.
Can you supply private label spices that meet EU and UK standards?
Yes. Our EU IPM range is grown, dried, milled and packed to EU food-safety and residue standards from the first harvest, with documentation supplied for each batch.
