What does a seasoning manufacturer do?

A seasoning manufacturer develops and produces blends of spices, herbs, salt, sugar, dehydrated vegetables and flavourings that food companies add to their products. The manufacturer turns a flavour idea or an existing recipe into a fixed specification, sources and tests the ingredients, blends them in bulk and packs the finished seasoning for use on a production line or for sale under a brand.

How it works

Our seasoning manufacturing process

Six steps from your brief to bulk production.

  1. Your brief

Tell us the product, how the seasoning is applied, target flavour, label claims, cost target and volumes.

  2. Formulation or matching

We build a new recipe or match your benchmark sample.

  3. Samples and trials

You test samples on your own product and line. We refine them with your feedback.

  4. Specification sign-off

The approved recipe and quality limits are fixed in a written specification.

  5. Bulk production

Ingredients are weighed to the recipe, blended, sieved and checked against your approved sample.

  6. Packing and dispatch

Packed in bulk or private label formats and shipped with batch documents, from India or our UK warehouse.

Consistency

What we control in every batch

These are the points that decide whether your product tastes and looks the same on every shelf.

ParameterWhy it matters to you
Taste and aromaEach batch is compared with your approved reference sample
Particle sizeControls how well the seasoning sticks and spreads on your product
ColourKeeps the finished product looking the same from batch to batch
Salt and key ingredientsProtects taste and keeps nutrition labels accurate
Moisture and flowPrevents lumps and caking in storage and on the line
Spice sourcingSpices are the highest-risk ingredient, so we use our own processed spices with traceability

FAQs

Seasoning manufacturing FAQs

Can you manufacture a seasoning to my own recipe?

Yes. Send us your recipe or ingredient list and we will produce it to your specification, or suggest changes to make it work better at scale. Your recipe stays yours.

Can you match a seasoning I already buy from another supplier?

Yes. Send us a sample of your current seasoning. We match its taste, colour and texture and refine the match with you through sample rounds until you approve it.

Do you make snack seasonings for chips and namkeen?

Yes. We manufacture topical seasonings such as peri peri, cheese, BBQ, cream and onion, tomato and masala, designed for good adhesion on chips, extruded snacks, namkeen and popcorn.

Can you make seasonings with no added MSG or for vegan products?

Tell us the claims you need in your brief. We formulate to those requirements and confirm what is possible for your flavour before samples are made.

What is the minimum order quantity for custom seasonings?

Our minimum order for standard seasonings starts at 25 kg, and custom blends start at 25 kg per flavour, so start-ups and new snack brands can launch without large stock. Private label retail packs start at 500 units, and trial orders start at 25 kg.

Do you offer low MOQ seasoning manufacturing for start-ups?

Yes. We offer low MOQ seasoning manufacturing from 25 kg per flavour, so start-ups, D2C brands and new snack makers can test products in the market before ordering larger volumes.

Can I order several seasoning flavours at the low minimum?

Yes. Each flavour starts at 25 kg. For example, a brand launching three flavours can start with 75 kg in total.

Can I scale up from a small order to bulk supply?

Yes. Your approved recipe and specification stay the same as volumes grow, so a 25 kg trial and a large repeat order taste the same. We quote pricing for both trial and scale-up volumes.

What is the minimum for private label seasoning packs?

Private label retail packs start at 500 units. For larger launches, bulk seasoning can also be supplied for you to pack yourself.

Do you supply seasonings outside India?

Yes. We export seasonings to food manufacturers and brands worldwide with batch documentation, and hold stock in our UK warehouse for UK customers.

Can you pack seasonings under my brand?

Yes. We supply private label seasonings in bulk and retail formats. See our private label spice manufacturing service.
